B is for Bread

Hand shaped and naturally fermented artisan sourdough breads with rye starter are baked by Steve. Sourdough bread varieties range from: light rye, dark rye, caraway rye, spelt, multi grain, red fife, fennel seed with date, olive with rosemary and cranberry with walnuts.

Uta’s yeasted breads include: raisin chai spice, German farmers bread,  toasted sunflower seed, Muesli bread with dried apricots, cherries, hazelnuts and pumpkin and sunflower seeds, rosemary with roasted potato, cheese bread with herb de Provence or caramelized onions.

European style pastries include: sweet and savory tarts, bear claws, cranberry walnut biscuits, wild blueberry with lemon biscuits, ginger peach biscuits, pumpkin spice biscuits, pain au chocolat, brioche braids, Streuselkuchen with fruit in season (rhubarb, apple, Italian plum, blueberry, cherry, apricot, peach) and savory Focaccias.

All our products are made from scratch using natural ingredients. We generally provide a staple of light rye, multi grain, spelt and German Farmer bread each weekend, adding a choice of one or two raisin or nut breads. Pastries reflect what is in season with a selection of sweet and savory.

Occasionally, you can find gluten free chocolate and dried cherry brownies and gluten free breads.
